Full-Time Assistant Manager, Insurance – Full Time – Kelowna

We are seeking a full-time Assistant Manager, Insurance to be based in Kelowna.
Here’s what would be included as a part of your typical day:
- Providing leadership and coaching to the insurance sales and service team including acting as the “go to” person for help with solving complex problems or client concerns.
- Supporting the Insurance Manager with coaching the insurance sales and service team on sales skills and insurance knowledge to help the branch meet sales goals and targets.
- Conducting client interviews to ensure understanding of their needs and concerns and proactively matching clients with a full-range of personal lines insurance to meet their needs.
- Actively participates in business development activities in conjunction with the Insurance Manager to identify opportunities within the local community.
- Act as backup support to the Insurance Manager and acts as Insurance Manager in their absence.
Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
- Level 2 General Insurance license (CAIB 2 & 3 preferred) working towards level 2 license
- 4 years successful insurance experience
- Technologically adept with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook), ICBC Software, and insurance specific programs
- Proven skills in sales and service; recognition as a top performer in their field
- Able to prioritize and plan work effectively to meet member and agency needs
- Self-motivated with a willingness and ability to learn
- Analytical ability and problem-solving skills
