We are seeking a full-time Assistant Manager, Insurance to be based in Kelowna.
 
Here’s what would be included as a part of your typical day:
  • Providing leadership and coaching to the insurance sales and service team including acting as the “go to” person for help with solving complex problems or client concerns.
  • Supporting the Insurance Manager with coaching the insurance sales and service team on sales skills and insurance knowledge to help the branch meet sales goals and targets.
  • Conducting client interviews to ensure understanding of their needs and concerns and proactively matching clients with a full-range of personal lines insurance to meet their needs.
  • Actively participates in business development activities in conjunction with the Insurance Manager to identify opportunities within the local community.
  • Act as backup support to the Insurance Manager and acts as Insurance Manager in their absence.

 

Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
  • Level 2 General Insurance license (CAIB 2 & 3 preferred) working towards level 2 license
  • 4 years successful insurance experience
  • Technologically adept with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook), ICBC Software, and insurance specific programs
  • Proven skills in sales and service; recognition as a top performer in their field
  • Able to prioritize and plan work effectively to meet member and agency needs
  • Self-motivated with a willingness and ability to learn
  • Analytical ability and problem-solving skills
