We’re the largest financial institution based on Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands, and we’ve got an opportunity for you. We are looking for a Commercial Insurance Advisor, so if you’re passionate about commercial insurance and have experience with business development, commercial insurance lines, and insurance customer service, we’d like to hear from you. The location of this role will be determined depending on the successful candidate.
What’s the role?
As a Commercial Insurance Advisor, you excel at growing new and existing relationships through focused and proactive business development activities within the community, insurance division, retail division, and departments across all business to drive business growth and meet objectives. You will develop, maintain, and grow the commercial lines portfolio by providing risk management services to new and existing clients and members. The ideal candidate strives to achieve goals through effective sales and service initiatives while enhancing the member/client experience. Your primary responsibilities include commercial insurance new business sales and commercial insurance renewals, business development, and client account service and maintenance.
What are we looking for?
Completion of CAIB designation;
Minimum of 5 years previous insurance customer service experience;
Minimum of 3 years previous Commercial Insurance industry experience;
Working knowledge of the policies and procedures within the Commercial Insurance Division;
Successful completion of a high school diploma.
Ideally, you are a flexible, collaborative team player with:
Proven knowledge of all aspects of Commercial Insurance;
In depth business and Commercial Insurance industry knowledge;
Ability to manage multiple work assignments with competing demands.
